May 27th, 2017 – Mojave National Preserve Semi-Annual Star Party. Here’s a link that talks about the Preserve and Star Party:  Mojave National Preserve Star Party  Free camping, fun pot-luck dinner and astronomy that lasts almost all night!

September 20th – 25th, 2016: Alumafandango 2016 at Jackson Rancheria RV Resort in Jackson, California. Everything Airstream with presentations, workshops, live entertainment and much, much more.


October 2, 2016: Sustainable Seafood Expo at Crafted, Port of Los Angeles, 112 East 22nd St. #10, San Pedro, Ca 90731


October 27th – 30th 2016: Nightfall 2016 at Palm Canyon Hotel and RV Restort in Borrego Springs, California (we’ll be staying at Borrego Palm Canyon campground). This is a 3-night star party with workshops and presentations in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. November 5th, 2016: Semi-annual Star Party at the Mojave National Preserve. Free tent camping at the Black Canyon Group Campground. No electric, pit toilets, one water spigot. There is a pot luck dinner the night of the star party and you are on your own for breakfast and lunch. BYOB if you so desire. Nice dark skies and very knowledgeable amateur astronomers, some of which work for Jet Propulsion Laboratories and Cal Tech. More information can be found here: Mojave National Preserve Star Party
